The local fair, a staple of small town living.

As a boy, an exciting part of summer for me was the Chesterville Fair. Nearly forty years have passed since my first fair. Video games, casinos, giant amusement parks, big city festivals - all entertainment options unheard of then. Not one of them, however, can provide what the fair provides.

Organized by members of the community, supported by local businesses and private individuals, the fair is an opportunity to celebrate community. Watch the kids play on the sports fields, peruse the 4-H and homecraft projects, take in a grandstand show, enjoy the midway, pet a llama, relax with a cool refreshment, and enjoy the company of friends and neighbors.
