Show Overview:

The 16th annual Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival kicks off this year Friday, August 8, 2008.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday bring free concerts on 5 outdoor stages. Featured performers include Lao Tizer with jazz violinist Karen Briggs, Kollage, the Scott Martin Latin Soul Band from Los Angeles, Tyler Yurema, the Gap Mangione Big Band, Sue Foley, Carol Welsman and more. For trad jazz lovers be sure to catch one or more of the 9 Dixieland performances. Blues aficionados will find some great shows with Carlos Del Junco on Saturday night and 2 blues shows on the "Sunday Blues" stage, Son Roberts and Sue Foley.

Of course one of the best things about the Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival is the ambience. Outdoor patios, great shopping, fine food and club entertainment all lend to the atmosphere. Treat yourself. Plan on attending this years Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival August 8 -10, 2008. We look forward to seeing you.

Shuttle bus service from the Oakville GO Station every 15 minutes Friday and Saturday 5:30pm to 12:15.
