Come learn everything you need to know about beadery. Presented by the London Beadery.
12:00 p.m. How Fossils became Fossilized
Come learn about fossils of our area and where you might go collecting for fossils. Each person will recieve a free fossil shark. Presenter Bob O'Dell, the "Fossil Guy."
2:00 p.m. Gold from the Royal Ontario Museum.
Come learn about the ROM's Gold Collection and see some actual samples. Presenter Malcolm Back Curator at the Royal Ontario Museum.
4:00 p.m. Mastodons of the London Area
Yes this was Mastodon and Mammoth Country 10,000 years ago. Come learn about the most famous complete Mastodon ever found in the area the Highgate Mastodon! Presenter Peter Russel Curator at the University of Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum.
5:00 p.m. Gemstones - Lapidary 101
Come learn from long time gem cutter and demonstrator Peter Nielson on how to cut and polish a mineral into a gemstone.
