Recognized in 2007 as “Best Attraction” by Brantford/Brant County/Six Nations Tourism and recently voted as one of the “Top 100 Festivals of Ontario” at the recent Festival & Events Ontario Conference in February 2008. This year marks our 24th Annual Festival, and we have many new things planned as our festival continues to grow!

Come and visit our quaint village nestled centrally to Cambridge, Paris and Brantford, St. George is blessed with Apple Blossoms in the Spring and Apple produce in the Fall. At this time of year our community “comes alive” with enthusiasm and help from over 150 volunteers who help make this event an annual success.

Enjoy the fun filled days at the festival with good food, on-going entertainment. Our Main Street Marketplace as well as our expanded crafts area will once again be of interest to everyone. Don’t forget to visit the three antique shops and other businesses on the Main Street. We also have a Children’s Activity Area with Pony Rides and inflatable bouncer & slide and fish pond just to mention a few things of interest.

In addition to the many varieties of apples offered at the festival, you will also find over 1,000 home made apple pies, dumplings and cider. Other vendors offer fresh flowers, jams, melons, honey and other produce.

It is hoped our craft show will grow to 100 vendors this year. We try very hard to have a good mix of craftspeople, to make your shopping an enjoyable experience.

For lunch, we have various non-profit groups selling Hamburg’s, French Fries, Hot Dogs, Sausage on a bun, Pie by the slice, Beef on a Bun, Pizza, and salads etc.

Besides all of these activities, we have a huge Scarecrow Contest with categories in: Best School Classroom entry; Best Residential entry & Best Commercial Entry. Many of these scarecrows adorn the Main Street through-out the festival.
